Woman sentenced for fatal DWI crash near Stonebridge West
YUKON, OK – According to KOCO, a judge sentenced a woman on Tuesday for a deadly crash that happened on US 66 between N Sara Rd and the John Kilpatrick Tpke on Oct. 26, 20210
The 42-year-old woman was driving while impaired when she collided with another vehicle occupied by four people.
A 17-year-old male and a 16-year-old female from the car that was struck were critically injured in the collision. The 16-year-old girl died from her injuries.
Two other teens from the car that was hit suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities charged the 42-year-old woman with first-degree manslaughter and three counts of causing great bodily harm while driving under the influence.
A jury found the woman guilty of the charges, and a judge sentenced her to 31 years in prison.
