Troopers investigate fatal single-vehicle crash on E County Rd 37 in Ellis County

ELLIS COUNTY, OK – One man died, and two people were hurt following a single-vehicle collision on E County Road 37 near US 283 on Sunday, according to KOKH.

A 20-year-old man was driving a Ford F-150 lost control of the vehicle after encountering gravel. The truck strayed off the road, rolled over twice, and slammed into a tree around 10 p.m.

Emergency crews extricated the driver from the F-150 and pronounced him dead at the scene.

First responders transported two passengers to an area hospital for minor injuries. The passengers were treated and released.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating the incident. They believe speed was the primary factor in the crash.
