Troopers investigate deadly UTV collision near Granite

GRANITE, OK – A man died on Sept. 18 from injuries sustained in a UTV crash in a field near N 2030 Rd and E 1465 Rd on Sept. 10, according to FOX 25.

A 33-year-old man and a 36-year-old man were riding a Polaris side-by-side UTV west in a field when a driver lost control of the vehicle. The UTV then rolled multiple times before coming to rest on its wheels.

The 33-year-old man was thrown from the UTV during the wreck. Paramedics transported him to an area hospital, where he died on Sept. 18.

Rescue crews also transported the 36-year-old to an area hospital with head injuries.

It is unclear which man was operating the vehicle.

Neither man was wearing a helmet or seatbelt.
