Troopers investigate deadly DUI crash on S County Rd 202 near Woodward

WOODWARD, OK – The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal DUI crash that happened on S County Rd 202 on Saturday, according to KOCO.

A 42-year-old man was driving a Nissan Armada when he collided with the driver’s side of a Dodge Charger occupied by four teens, making a U-turn on S County Rd 202 around 10:55 p.m.

Emergency crews extricated the 17-year-old driver of the Charger and transported him to an area hospital, where he died.

Rescue crews transported the three passengers of the Charger, an 18-year-old, a 16-year-old girl, and a 15-year-old boy, to an area hospital in stable condition.

Authorities determined the Nissan’s driver was impaired. He was treated and released from the hospital. It is unclear what charges he will face.
