Toddler injured when alleged impaired ATV driver crashes near Mayes County
MAYES COUNTY, OK – According to News on 6, a 2-year-old boy was hurt when a suspected impaired driver crashed on E 620 Rd near Mayes County on Sunday.
A 26-year-old man was driving an ATV when he crashed into a ditch sometime Sunday morning. The driver and the toddler were ejected from the ATV in the crash.
Rescue crews airlifted the boy to a hospital in Tulsa with leg and chest injuries. It is unclear if the driver was hurt in the wreck.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating the incident. They believe intoxication was the cause of the crash.
