Suspect driving stolen RV crashes into drainage ditch near Smitty Park

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – According to KOCO, a police chase ended when the suspect crashed into a drainage ditch at Smitty Park on Thursday morning.

The suspect allegedly stole the vehicle from the Camping World at 13111 Broadway Ext Hwy around 5:30 a.m. Officers chased the suspect to Smitty Park, where he slammed into a drainage ditch.

Following the crash, the suspect tried to flee the area on foot, but police officers apprehended them.

It is unclear if anyone was hurt in the collision.

Officials have not released the suspect’s name.
