Semi-truck driver fatally slams into another vehicle in Tupelo

TUPELO, OK – A woman died after her vehicle was hit by a semi-truck at OK 48 and OK 3 on Thursday, according to KOKH.

A 36-year-old woman was stopped at a traffic signal on OK 48 when she tried to make a left turn onto OK 3 around 2:15 p.m. An eastbound semi-truck then plowed into her vehicle.

Rescue crews pronounced the woman dead at the scene.

The 55-year-old man driving the semi-truck was not hurt in the collision

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
