Police investigate fatal collision involving fire truck in south Tulsa

TULSA, OK – According to KJRH, the Tulsa Police Department is investigating a deadly crash involving a firetruck that happened at
E 41st St and S Harvard Ave on Monday.

A 28-year-old woman was driving a white Hyundai when she turned in front of a firetruck that was responding to a fire with lights and sirens on and collided with it around 5:30 p.m.

The impact sent the Hyundai crashing into a telephone pole.

Rescue crews transported the six occupants of the Hyundai to an area hospital, where a 23-year-old woman and a 5-year-old girl died.

A 26-year-old woman from the Hyundai was pregnant and miscarried the baby.

Nobody in the firetruck was hurt in the collision.
