Passenger dies after driver fleeing from police crashes near Little Axe in Cleveland County

CLEVELAND COUNTY, OK – According to KOCO, a passenger died when a driver crashed while eluding police near 192nd Ave NE and Alameda St on Wednesday.

Trenton Davis, 28, was driving a stolen pickup truck with a 25-year-old female passenger when they were pulled over by a Cleveland County deputy near Wildfire Dr around 2 a.m.

Davis and his passenger gave the deputy fake names before speeding off. Deputies pursued Davis until he turned onto Alameda St. The dust kicked up from the road, causing the deputies to lose sight of Davis.

A crash was reported in a creek bed near 192nd AV NE and Alameda St five minutes after the pursuit was called off.

First responders pronounced the female passenger dead at the scene and transported Davis to an area hospital.
