Hit-and-run driver strikes, injures firefighter near Drumright in Creek County
CREEK COUNTY, OK – According to FOX 23, a firefighter was hurt when a hit-and-run driver struck their vehicle near 161st W Ave and 465th W Ave on Friday.
The victim was in a fire department vehicle at the scene of a grass fire when a 41-year-old man struck him head-on around 8 p.m. The 41-year-old then fled the scene on foot and left behind an injured passenger.
Rescue crews transported the firefighter and the injured passenger to area hospitals.
Authorities were unable to locate the hit-and-run driver. They urge anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact them.
