Elderly driver collides head-on with trooper on US 177 near Stillwater

STILLWATER, OK – According to FOX 25, an elderly man slammed head-on into a trooper’s vehicle on US 177 south of Stillwater on Friday.

An 84-year-old man was driving a vehicle when he crossed over three lanes of traffic and struck a trooper who was on the side of US 177 on a construction shift around 10:10 a.m.

Rescue crews transported the driver and trooper to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators believe a medical episode may have caused the wreck.
