Driver fatally collides with semi-truck on Fort Reno Rd in Canadian County

CANADIAN COUNTY, OK – A driver fatally struck a semi-truck on N Fort Reno Rd near 248th St NW on Tuesday, according to KOCO.

A 25-year-old man was driving a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado south on Fort Reno Rd when he ran a stop sign and hit an oncoming semi-truck around 10:30 a.m.

The collision sent the Silverado spinning off the road and caused the semi-truck to roll onto the driver’s side.

Rescue crews transported both drivers to an area hospital, where the Silverado driver died around 12:15 p.m. The semi-truck driver was treated and released.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating the collision.
