Driver dies following single-vehicle crash in Hughes County
HUGHES COUNTY, OK – A man died following a single-vehicle collision near N3860 Rd and E1360 Rd on Feb. 8, according to KOKH.
A 63-year-old man was driving a 2005 Ford Escape south on N3860 Rd when he strayed off the road, slammed into a tree, and collided with a rock. The collision caused the Escape to roll over onto its roof. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
Rescue crews pronounced the driver dead at the scene.
Authorities believe speed played a role in the collision.
