Authorities file charges against alleged hit-and-run driver

STILLWATER, OK –  According to KFOR, officials have filed charges against a man who allegedly fled the scene after fatally striking a pedestrian with his pickup truck near N Monroe St and W Cantwell Ave on February 22.

Officials believe the 21-year-old suspect was driving a white, four-door pickup truck heading north on N Monroe St when he hit the victim 19-year-old female victim around 10 a.m.

Officers arrested the 21-year-old man on E McElory Rd around 12:35 p.m. based on evidence at the scene and surveillance video.

Authorities charged the 21-year-old man with leaving the scene after an accident involving death.

The 21-year-old has pleaded not guilty to these charges and is out on bond. He is scheduled to appear in court for a preliminary hearing on April 1.
