Alleged impaired teen driver injured in 2-vehicle crash near Layman/Van Acre

TULSA, OK – According to KTUL, a suspected impaired teen driver was hurt in a two-vehicle collision on the I-244 ramp to US 169 on Friday morning.

A 19-year-old male driver of a Chevy Tahoe collided with a Mini Cooper around 12:13 a.m.

Rescue crews rushed the 19-year-old to an area hospital in poor condition. He had injuries to his leg, head, and arm. He was not wearing a seatbelt and smelled of alcohol.

The 19-year-old’s two passengers and the Mini Cooper driver and passenger were not hurt in the collision.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating the incident. They believe unsafe speeds on the wet roads caused the collision.
