Alleged impaired driver fatally strikes 4-year-old boy on US 270 in LeFlore County

LEFLORE COUNTY, OK – A suspected impaired driver struck and killed a 4-year-old boy on US 270 near 250th Ave on Sunday, according to News on 6.

An 18-year-old man was allegedly intoxicated while driving east on US 270 when he strayed off the road and hit the victim around 2 p.m.

Rescue crews pronounced the boy dead at the scene. The driver suffered minor injuries in the collision.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
