5-year-old girl dies following single-vehicle wreck on I-40 in Canadian County

CANADIAN COUNTY, OK – According to KOCO, a five-year-old girl died following a single-vehicle collision on I-40 near mile marker 110 on Saturday.

A person was driving a 2003 Toyota Tacoma when they crashed around 8:05 a.m.

Rescue crews transported the 5-year-old girl to an area hospital, where she died. Crews also transported a 29-year-old woman and a 5-month-old girl to the hospital, where they were treated and released.

A 17-year-old passenger and the driver were not hurt in the crash.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
