2-vehicle crash claims life of on-duty ODOC officer on US 62 near Meeker

OKFUSKEE COUNTY, OK – According to FOX 23, an Oklahoma Department of Corrections officer died in a two-vehicle collision on US 62 near Meeker on Sunday.

An ODOC corporal was driving an ODOC van on his way to OU Medical Center in Edmond when he collided with another ODOC corporal who was driving his personal vehicle on the way to work a regular shift.

Rescue crews pronounced the van driver dead at the scene and transported the other driver to an area hospital with leg and internal injuries. That driver is currently in stable condition.
