17-year-old driver injured following possible DUI crash near Shattuck
SHATTUCK, OK – A 17-year-old driver was hurt in a single-vehicle collision at S County Rd 173 and E County Rd 53 on Thursday, according to KOKH.
The 17-year-old male was driving a 1999 GMC pickup truck north when he failed to negotiate a curve and crashed around 10:19 p.m. The truck rolled over and landed on the driver’s side.
Rescue crews transported the driver to an area hospital with head injuries.
Authorities smelled alcohol on the driver and inside the vehicle.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
