Troopers investigate deadly high-speed wreck in Logan County
LOGAN COUNTY, OK – The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal high-speed collision that occurred at N MacArthur Blvd and W Crescent Dover Rd on Tuesday, according to FOX 25.
A 50-year-old man was driving a 2000 Toyota Tacoma south on MacArthur Blvd at excessive speeds when he failed to stop at the stop sign. The truck lifted off the ground and rolled over.
The driver was partially thrown from the window on the driver’s side and became trapped under the truck.
Paramedics pronounced the driver dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
Authorities believe speed was a contributing factor in the incident.
