1 dead, multiple hospitalized after head-on crash at Comanche intersection
COMANCHE COUNTY, OK – A 79-year-old man died Monday following a two-vehicle wreck on Southwest Coombs Road in Comanche, reports ABC7 News.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol officials said the accident happened at the intersection of Southwest 97th Street.
According to preliminary details, the victim was driving a green SUV northbound on 97th Street when he ran a stop sign, causing his vehicle to collide head-on with a small black car, which was heading eastbound on Coombs Road.
The driver of the SUV, who was rushed to a local hospital, succumbed to his injuries, confirmed officials.
An unspecified number of people inside the black car were also taken to a hospital.
