Officer crashes into another vehicle while chasing motorcyclist in Coweta

COWETA, OK – A driver was injured when they collided with an officer pursuing a motorcyclist near E Hwy 51 and East 111th S on Saturday, according to KJRH.

The chase began around 9:30 when an officer began chasing a motorcyclist who was speeding and doing wheelies. It ended when the officer hit a car that was turning left.

Rescue crews transported the driver who was hit to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The officer was not hurt.

The motorcyclist did not stop.

Emergency crews closed down E Hwy 51 in both directions to clear the scene.
