Driver fatally collides with tree near Verden

GRADY COUNTY, OK -A driver died after they hit a tree on a road around 2.5 miles east and 1.5 miles north of Verden on Saturday, according to KOCO.

A man was driving when he swerved off the road and slammed into a tree around 10:25 p.m. The vehicle then caught on fire.

First responders pronounced the driver dead at the scene.

Crews closed down the road for around five hours to process the scene.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
