Street racers cause deadly crash on I-35 in Moore
MOORE, OK – A street race between two drivers Friday night on Interstate 35 near Moore turned deadly when their cars collided with three other vehicles, according to KOCO.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the events unfolded on the southbound lanes at Southwest 19th Street on June 7.
Following the crash, a 26-year-old woman who was a passenger in one of the involved vehicles was pronounced deceased at the scene. Two other people were treated and released from the hospital.
Authorities arrested the two street racers, described only as men. Both were booked into Cleveland County Jail and have since been charged with first-degree manslaughter.
At the time of this writing, officials have not released the names of the suspects.
