17-year-old driver fatally collides with trees near Strang
MAYES COUNTY, OK – A 17-year-old female driver died after colliding with multiple trees in Mayes County near Strang on Tuesday, according to FOX 23.
The teen was driving with two 15-year-old passengers when she strayed off the road and slammed into several trees. She was pinned inside the vehicle for 30 minutes.
Rescue crews pronounced the driver dead at the scene and transported the two 15-year-olds to an area hospital. One was admitted in critical condition, and the other was in stable condition.
It is unclear precisely where in Mayes County the accident occurred.
The incident is under investigation by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
