Officials provide more details on crash near Youngs Park
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Officials have released more information about the police pursuit that ended in a crash near S Agnew Ave and SW 44th St on Monday, according to KOKH.
Officers began chasing the driver of a 2005 GMC Yukon near S Agnew Ave and SW 23rd St around 5 p.m.
The Yukon ran a red light at S Agnew Ave and SW 44th St and slammed into a 1999 Crown Victoria operated by a 17-year-old. The collision threw a passenger from the Yukon around 40 feet from the car. The passenger was not wearing a seatbelt.
Rescue crews transported the driver and passenger from the Yukon to an area hospital in critical condition. The 17-year-old refused treatment at the scene.
Officials have not released the names of those involved in the collision.
