2 hurt after police chase ends in crash in Edmond

EDMOND, OK – Two people were hurt when a police pursuit ended in a wreck on Memorial Rd near I-35 on Tuesday, according to KOCO.

An Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics agent informed Edmond police that a driver was driving erratically on I-35.

An officer located the vehicle and pulled it over. The officer determined that the driver was impaired and asked them to step out of the car. The driver then sped off on Memorial Rd.

The driver hit trash on the side of the road before slamming head-on into a semi-truck.

Two people were inside the vehicle. The driver was conscious, and the passenger was breathing but unconscious. Rescue crews transported both people to OU Health in Oklahoma City.

Officials have not released the names of the suspect or their passenger.

The incident is under investigation.
