Troopers investigate deadly 2-vehicle collision on OK 20 in Mayes County near Spavinaw

MAYES COUNTY, OK – The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash that happened on OK 20 near N 447 Rd on Friday morning, according to FOX 23.

A 62-year-old woman was driving a car west on OK 20 when she strayed into oncoming traffic and collided with an eastbound vehicle head-on.

First responders transported the driver and passenger in the car that was hit to a hospital in Tulsa in stable condition.

Emergency crews extricated the 62-year-old woman from her vehicle and pronounced her dead at the scene. She was trapped inside her car for two hours.

The area was shut down on and off for four hours as crews worked and investigated the scene.
