Officials release more info on deadly Del City crash
DEL CITY, OK – Officials have provided additional details concerning the fatal crash that killed three people at SE 15th St and S Bryant Ave on Saturday, according to KFOR.
A 54-year-old woman was driving a car at excessive speeds on her way home from an event when she lost control of the vehicle, strayed off the road, hit a tree, and crashed into a fire hydrant around 8 p.m.
Rescue crews pronounced the driver, a 6-year-old, and a 7-year-old dead at the scene. They transported a 13-year-old to an area hospital in critical condition, and a 9-year-old suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the crash.
The driver was the grandmother of the two children who survived the wreck. The two children who died were neighbors to the driver.
