Authorities charge driver with murder for fatal crash in Cleveland County
CLEVELAND COUNTY, OK – According to KOKH, authorities have charged the driver of a stolen car with murder for a deadly crash that happened near 192nd Ave NE and Alameda St on Jan. 3.
Deputies saw a white F-250 pickup truck with obscured license plates and broken brake lights heading east on OK 9 around 2:15 a.m.
Authorities pulled over the truck and conducted a traffic stop, where they learned it was stolen. The driver then sped off and led deputies on a chase.
The driver crashed near 192nd Ave NE and Almeda St.
Rescue crews pronounced the driver’s female passenger dead at the scene and transported the driver to an area hospital.
Authorities charged the driver on Wednesday with first-degree murder, operating a motor vehicle with the license plate covered, defective equipment, false personations, and possession of a stolen vehicle.
