Man charged for deadly hit-and-run crash on I-40 near Earlsboro to be sentenced
POTTAWATOMIE COUNTY, OK – The semi-truck driver charged with killing a tow truck driver on I-40 near Earlsboro in March 2023 was sentenced on Wednesday, according to News 9.
The defendant was driving a semi-truck when he collided with a 27-year-old man who was responding to a previous crash.
Rescue crews pronounced the victim dead at the scene around 9:30 p.m.
Following the collision, the semi-truck driver fled the scene.
The semi-truck driver pleaded guilty to leaving the scene in December 2023.
He was due in court at 9 a.m. yesterday.
