Police chase leads to crash that injured trooper near Spring Creek Park
EDMOND, OK – A trooper was injured in a crash while pursuing a suspect near E 2nd St and I-35 on Wednesday, according to News 9.
The incident began as a traffic stop near SE 29th St and Bryant Ave in Del City. The suspect then led officers on a chase, and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol was requested to assist the pursuit once it left Del City limits.
During the chase, the suspect made an abrupt maneuver, and the trooper crashed when they over-corrected.
The suspect eventually stopped on their own. Authorities arrested three juvenile suspects.
Rescue crews transported the injured trooper to an area hospital, where they were treated and released.
