Women in jail for deadly crash near Hoover gets competency evaluation

TULSA, OK – A woman arrested for a fatal crash at Yale Ave and E 41st St on April 30, 2023, is going to have a competency evaluation, according to FOX 23.

The woman was driving a black Kia Optima when she allegedly ran a red light and collided with a maroon Ford Taurus. The Ford Taurus driver died from the injuries he suffered in the wreck.

Police do not believe impairment was a factor in the collision.

Authorities arrested the woman on Friday and charged her with negligent homicide and failure to stop at a red light. A judge set her bond at $50,000.

She appeared in court on Thursday. The court asked her questions, but the woman could not answer coherently. The court ordered a competency evaluation for the woman.
