Tire collides with multiple vehicles on I-35 in Moore

MOORE, OK – One person was hurt when a loose tire collided with several vehicles on I-35 near NW 12th St on Monday, according to News 9.

A car was heading south on I-35 when they lost a tire. The tire hit a semi-truck and bounced off of it into the northbound lanes of I-35, colliding with a semi-truck before smashing through a van’s windshield and exiting out the van’s back doors. The tire then struck two more vehicles before finally coming to rest.

Rescue crews transported the van’s driver to an area hospital with minor injuries.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
