Wife dies, husband arrested following DUI wreck on S Riverside Dr in Tulsa

TULSA, OK – A woman died, and her husband was arrested for a DUI rollover crash at 5500 S Riverside Dr on Tuesday, according to KTUL.

The 23-year-old husband was driving a pickup truck when he crashed around 11:25 p.m. His 29-year-old wife was ejected from the truck around 11:25 p.m.

First responders transported the woman to an area hospital, where she died.

The man admitted to police he had been drinking for most of the day and was speeding when he hit the curb and wrecked.

Authorities arrested the man for 1st-degree manslaughter, reckless driving, aggravated DUI, carrying a firearm while intoxicated, transporting an open container, and violation of driver’s license restriction.

Police took the husband to the hospital with minor injuries and then booked him into the Tulsa County Jail.
