Police chase ends with deadly crash on OK 66 in Rogers County
ROGERS COUNTY, OK – A police chase ended with a fatal crash on OK 66 near Vinta on Oct. 20, according to KTUL.
The Vinta Police Department spotted a juvenile who stole a Subaru Forrester on OK 66 and began chasing them around 10:30 a.m.
VPD officers canceled the chase once the juvenile entered Rogers County.
Rogers County Sheriff’s deputies found the suspect vehicle in a ditch before receiving a call from a man saying a juvenile had stolen his pickup truck with a gun in it.
RCSO deputies located the suspect on OK 66. Troopers used stop sticks and punctured three tires of the pickup truck.
The juvenile then crossed railroad tracks and slammed into the passenger side of a vehicle.
First responders transported the driver of the car that was struck to an area hospital and pronounced their passenger, the driver’s daughter, dead at the scene.
Authorities arrested the suspect.
