1 woman dead, 1 woman hospitalized following crash caused by teen driving stolen car on US 66
ROGERS COUNTY, OK – A 17-year-old was driving a stolen car when he collided with another vehicle, killing one woman and injuring another near US 66 and E 410 Rd on Sunday, according to KJRH.
Deputies with the Roger County Sheriff’s Office began pursuing the suspect in Vinta but called off the pursuit for safety reasons.
The suspect entered US 66 while speeding and slammed into a vehicle occupied by a mother and her daughter around 11 a.m.
First responders transported the mother to an area hospital. The 23-year-old daughter died in the collision.
The 17-year-old is being held at the Craig County Juvenile Detention Center.
The Rogers County District Attorney’s Office will charge the suspect once the investigation is complete.
