Woman dies following 3-vehicle crash near Sperry

SPERRY, OK – According to KTUL, a woman died following a three-vehicle collision at US-75 and E 106th St N on Wednesday.

A 71-year-old woman was heading west on 106th St N at 8:24 a.m. when she ran a stop sign and collided with a northbound vehicle operated by a 21-year-old man.

The collision sent the 71-year-old woman into the southbound lanes of US 75, where she hit a vehicle driven by a 48-year-old.

First responders pronounced the 71-year-old woman dead at the scene and transported the 21-year-old man to an area hospital with head and trunk injuries. The third driver was not hurt in the wreck.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
