YUKON, OK – A woman and her children were sent to a hospital after a crash that damaged a Yukon building on Saturday, News9 reports.
The collision happened near South Cornwell Drive. Yukon Fire Rescue said the incident unfolded when the SUV driver’s foot slipped off the brakes, causing her vehicle to go forward and plow directly into the building. Her SUV then struck a mother and her children.
The impact of the collision left at least two people trapped in the SUV, and injured at least one child, local firefighters said.
EMS crews transported the woman and her kids to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. As of late, they appear to be in stable condition.
Officials confirm the driver was uninjured. Based on the source’s photo, she seemed to have driven a GMC Acadia, which went through the entrance, damaged some windows, and took down at least one door.
Law enforcement has not said if they cited the driver or said if she could face charges.
