WEST OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A 64-year-old woman suffered a potential medical episode, which led to a crash that later claimed her life on Wednesday, KOCO reports.
Preliminary details show that the 64-year-old female driver collided with another vehicle around 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of South Frisco Road and West Reno Avenue. She initially requested medical attention, and EMS crews arrived shortly after the crash happened. She declined to receive medical attention, and the ambulance crews left. The woman called a second time, and another ambulance arrived.
First responders transported the woman to a hospital, where she later died. Officials did not say if the other driver was injured or if they had disclosed the woman’s identity.
Woman loses life, 4 teens injured in head-on collision in Sand Springs
SAND SPRINGS, OK – A woman lost her life, and four teens were injured in a head-on collision that happened around 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
Newson6 said two vehicles collided head-on at the 7700th block of West Avery Drive. One of the vehicles was driven by a teenager.
The woman, a 22-year-old from Tulsa, died from her injuries, while four teenagers were injured.
The teenagers are students of Berryhill Public Schools. According to a public statement from the district, the students sustained minor injuries and are expected to make a full recovery.
Officials close portion of I-44 in Lawton due to box truck rollover crash
LAWTON, OK – Officials closed a portion of I-44 in Lawton due to a box truck rollover crash that happened Thursday morning, KSWO reports.
Law enforcement said that prior to the box truck rollover crash, the truck driver was cut off by another vehicle. The box truck driver overcorrected to try to avoid a collision with that vehicle, but the truck ended up overturning.
Comanche County Sheriff’s Office, Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Lawton Fire Department, Wichita Mountains Estate, and Fort Sill crews all responded to the scene. Upon arrival, they shut down the southbound and westbound lanes for over an hour to accommodate the scene clean-up process.
Officials reopened a portion of the interstate around 4:30 a.m.
As of this writing, it is unclear if anyone was injured.

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Injuries were reported in a vehicle accident that took place in the Lyons area on Thursday.
