NOBLE COUNTY, OK – A 24-year-old woman died as a result of a crash involving a deer in Noble County on Sunday, KOCO reports.
The incident occurred after 12:30 a.m. The 24-year-old woman was driving east on U.S. 412 when she crashed her Kia Forte into a deer. Her car came to rest in an outside lane, and she waited for help.
Moments later, she was struck by another vehicle — a Ford F150 pickup truck.
The Kia Forte driver succumbed to her injuries at the scene, while her passenger was left with unspecified injuries.
The pickup truck driver was uninjured.
Pedestrian fatally struck by vehicle in Owasso
OWASSO, OK – A pedestrian’s life was claimed after being hit by a vehicle in Owasso on Highway 169 between 86th Street North and 96th Street North on Wednesday.
Newson6 said the deadly crash occurred in a construction zone where the posted speed limit is 55 mph.
Owasso police and Oklahoma Department of Transportation crews blocked the southbound lanes to accommodate the scene clean-up process.
Authorities do not have many details regarding the specifics of the deadly crash, but confirmed the victim was not a construction worker.
OHP called to semi-truck collision on Turner Turnpike in Edmond
EDMOND, OK – The Oklahoma Highway Patrol was called to the scene of a semi-truck collision on the Turner Turnpike on Tuesday.
KFOR reported the crash at 6:42 a.m., saying it occurred along the intersection of North Hiwasse Road and East 33rd Street.
Slight traffic congestion was seen as crews worked to restore safe road conditions.
No injuries or citations were reported at this time.
OHP did not disclose the events leading up to the semi-truck collision and is working to determine the contributing factors.
Norman PD investigates pedestrian crash outside Tarahumara’s Mexican Cafe
NORMAN, OK – Norman Police are investigating the details behind a pedestrian crash that happened outside of Tarahumara’s Mexican Cafe on Wednesday, KOCO said.
Norman police shut down North Porter Avenue and East Frank Street for the scene clean-up process and investigation period.
Police did not disclose the pedestrian’s physical condition at this time.
Officials did not specify how the pedestrian crash unfolded or whether any person involved was cited or will face charges.

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – At least one person was injured in a traffic collision along Lake Hefner on Wednesday.
The OKC Response & Accident Tracker reported the crash at 12:08 p.m., saying it took place at the intersection of West Britton Road and North May Avenue.

OK-DOT shuts down I-44 in OKC due to vehicle accident
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – The Oklahoma Department of Transportation had to shut down a portion of Interstate 44 due to a Wednesday afternoon vehicle accident.
KOCO said officials closed one lane to accommodate the scene clean-up process. During this time, traffic congestion could be seen towards 29th Street as officials clean up debris from the crash and remove the impacted vehicle(s).
Authorities have not shared the number of people and vehicles involved or reported any injuries.
