MAUD, OK – A 40-year-old Konawa man died after getting rear-ended by his wife’s car on Saturday, according to an update from KOCO.
The collision occurred around 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of State Highway 59 and East-West 1290 Road. Preliminary details show that the 40-year-old man was driving in front of his wife, 37, when, for reasons unclear, he crashed into the back of his vehicle.
The impact of the crash caused the 40-year-old man to lose control of his vehicle and drift off the road. Moments later, his vehicle overturned, and he died from his injuries at the scene.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol did not say if they would arrest the man’s wife, nor confirm how fast they were going. A full investigation is underway.
Teen, 16, killed in bicycle crash west of Tulsa Int. Airport
TULSA, OK – A 16-year-old teenager was killed in a bicycle crash that happened west of Tulsa International Airport on Thursday, News9 reports.
The collision occurred at the intersection of East 36th Street North and Yale Avenue. An eyewitness told police traffic investigators that the teenage cyclist was swerving in and out of lanes prior to getting struck by an SUV driver.
Police said the driver was on their way to work when the collision happened and confirmed the young cyclist did not wear protective gear and did not have reflectors or lights.
Tow truck crews towed away the SUV. The driver and their passenger remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

OHP investigates school bus-car collision in Sapula
SAPULPA, OK – The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating the details behind a collision between a school bus and a car that happened in Sapulpa on Thursday.
