TULSA, OK – According to updated information from Fox23, a Jeep driver ran a red light, causing a crash that killed a 28-year-old man and a 32-year-old man on Sunday.
An affidavit confirmed that prior to the collision, the driver of the Jeep Wrangler had stalked his ex-girlfriend, kidnapped her, and then forced her into his vehicle. Officers obtained a search warrant and discovered that the Jeep driver was driving 90 mph in a 40 mph zone when he crashed into a Dodge Dakota.
The force of the collision caused the Dakota Dodge to crash into a traffic signal pole and the Jeep into a utility pole.
The Dodge occupants died from their injuries a short time later. The Jeep driver’s ex-girlfriend sustained a broken hand, while the Jeep driver appeared to have been spared from serious injuries.
Officers arrested the Jeep driver and booked him into the Tulsa County Jail. He faces a kidnapping charge, a stalking charge, numerous traffic charges, and two second-degree murder charges.
