COLLINSVILLE, OK – Three people were hurt in a head-on crash that took place on U.S. 169 in Collinsville on Tuesday, according to an update from Newson6

A separate incident, a vehicle fire, occurred beforehand, resulting in closures that lasted approximately 20 minutes. New information reveals that a female driver got impatient while waiting for the scene to clear and decided she would enter the opposite lanes of traffic to get around the accident scene. 

The female driver went into the opposite lane of traffic and crashed head-on into another vehicle. 

Law enforcement said the female driver and the two occupants from the other vehicle were left with unspecified injuries. 

The wrong-way driver was cited for misdemeanor reckless driving.

No additional charges have been announced at this time. 

Officials close I-15 along SH 15 in Billings due to vehicle accident 

BILLINGS, OK – Officials had to shut down the northbound I-15 lanes along State Highway 15 due to a vehicle accident that happened on Monday. 

News9 reported the crash at 6:08 a.m. and said all lanes reopened by 6:40 a.m. 

Authorities have not specified the exact cause of the collision or whether anyone was injured.  

Boy, 6, loses life to collision involving school bus

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A 6-year-old boy lost his life to a collision involving a school bus in the Highlander South community on Wednesday.

Preliminary details suggest the boy was running near the intersection of Southwest 51st Street and South Western Avenue when he was struck by the bus, according to KFOR.

EMS crews rushed the boy to the emergency room, where he later died.

Oklahoma City police did not say if charges were filed against the bus driver.

Emergency crews respond to big rig collision in Wann 

WANN, OK – Emergency crews were summoned to the scene of a big rig collision that happened on Highway 10 on Thursday. 

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office told Fox23 that the driver of the big rig had missed a curve, which ended in a crash that caused cattle from the trailer to spill out. 

Copan and Wann fire crews, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, and nearby ranch handlers helped officials gather the cattle and clean up any debris leftover from the crash. 

Officials shut down the area and asked drivers to temporarily seek alternative routes, before reopening all lanes.  

One life claimed, another injured in head-on crash in Miami

MIAMI, OK – One life was claimed, and another was injured in a head-on crash that occurred on County Road 137 on Wednesday.

The collision happened south of County Road East 93, KTUL said. Oklahoma Highway Patrol said a 29-year-old man was driving when he drifted out of his lane and went into oncoming traffic. Moments later, he crashed into another vehicle.

The 29-year-old man did not wear a seatbelt and died from his injuries at the scene.

KoamNews said the other driver was a 38-year-old woman from Girard, Kansas. At this time, her physical condition remains unclear.

OHP did not say if speed or impairment was a continuing factor in Wednesday’s collision.

Injuries sustained in traffic accident in OKC’s McCoury Heights

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – At least one person sustained injuries in a traffic accident that took place in the McCoury Heights neighborhood on Thursday.

The collision happened before noon at the intersection of Northeast 103rd Street and North Kelley Avenue, according to OKC’s Response & Accident Tracker.

The exact cause of the crash is under investigation. The extent of injuries was not reported.
