TULSA, OK – According to new information from Fox23, it was a 28-year-old man and a 32-year-old man who were killed in a Sunday morning crash involving a Jeep Wrangler and a Dodge Dakota.
The collision occurred around 2:00 a.m. Tulsa police said the driver of the Dodge was going south on Memorial and the Jeep driver was going east on 21st Street when they collided. The force of the crash led the driver of the Dodge to hit a traffic signal pole and the Jeep to crash into a wooden utility pole.
The Dodge was wrapped around the pole, and both men, the 28-year-old and 32-year-old, were thrown from their vehicle.
The 28-year-old man died from his injuries at the scene, and the 32-year-old man died later at a hospital.
The Jeep driver was uninjured, while the Jeep passenger sustained minor injuries.
Police are actively working to investigate the contributing factors behind the collision.
Man hospitalized, thousands without power after fiery collision in Tulsa
TULSA, OK – A man was sent to a hospital, and 1,800 homes and businesses faced power outages following a fiery collision that happened in the Moyo Plaza on Tuesday.
KRMG said the crash occurred around 7:00 a.m. on the westbound East 31st Street.
According to Tulsa police, a man driving a car lost control of his vehicle when he experienced a seizure, which caused him to lose consciousness, drift out of his lane, and crash into a wooden fence and utility pole.
The man’s car caught on fire. Tulsa fire crews were able to rescue him from his vehicle and extinguish the flames, and EMS crews were able to transport him to a hospital for treatment.
The Public Service Company of Oklahoma (PSO) was called to the scene and restored power in the area.
Local police shut down the area for approximately two hours for the standard clean-up process and investigation. During the closures, all drivers were advised to avoid the area.
The man’s current physical condition has not been disclosed.
Fire crews conduct water rescue in OKC following single-vehicle accident
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – The Oklahoma Fire Department conducted a water rescue following a single-vehicle accident that occurred around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, News9 reports.
A man who was driving a vehicle was following directions on his GPS, when he took a wrong turn and crashed into the North Canadian River off Northeast 122nd Street and North Westminster Road. The man told the news source that he walked through bushes and through the shallow river for over an hour before he was rescued by fire crews.
The man appeared to be uninjured, but was visibly shaken over the ordeal.
Traffic delays seen on Interstate 40 after collision in work zone
SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Significant traffic delays could be seen on Interstate 40 after a collision that occurred in the work zone on Wednesday.
The Oklahoma Department of Transportation closed the interstate’s westbound lanes near Douglas Boulevard to accommodate the scene clean-up process, according to KOCO.
At least one ambulance and several law enforcement vehicles responded to the scene of the crash.
No injuries were reported at this time.
Traffic congestion reported towards I-44 following I-236 collision
UPTOWN OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Traffic congestion was reported towards I-44 following a collision that occurred on I-236 near Northwest 36th Street Wednesday.
Total Traffic Network’s Oklahoma City’s division said the crash happened before 8:00 a.m. Officials have not specified how the crash unfolded, said if anyone was injured, or stated the number of people and vehicles involved.
