OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Oklahoma Highway Patrol suspects that an unsafe lane change was a factor behind a Thursday morning crash that happened on I-40 West near Eastern Avenue.
Traffic delays could be seen as law enforcement rendered aid to the involved occupant(s) and as crews cleared the scene, according to OKCFox.
As of this writing, no injuries have been reported. An investigation is underway.
2 hurt in fiery tractor-trailer wreck at I-40, I-35 in OKC
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Two people were injured as a result of a fiery tractor-trailer wreck that occurred at the I-40 West and I-35 connector Saturday.
Preliminary details show that before 2 p.m., the big rig had collided with a car, causing the truck to jackknife, spill diesel fuel, and catch on fire, OKCFox.
The truck driver and passenger escaped their burning vehicle and sustained minor injuries.
The truck’s cargo, hospital gowns, was completely charred. Hazmat crews were able to contain the fuel spill.
Oklahoma City fire crews were the primary first responders.
3, including pedestrian, hurt in multi-vehicle collision in Ninnekah
NINNEKAH, OK – Two vehicle passengers and a pedestrian were hurt in a multi-vehicle collision that occurred at U.S. 81 and County Road 1453 Sunday.
The crash happened before 3:30 p.m., according to KOCO. Oklahoma Highway Patrol said that one driver had crashed into the back of another vehicle. The force of the collision caused the trailer to then hit a pedestrian walking on the highway shoulder.
Two vehicle occupants and the passenger were left with unspecified injuries.
No citations or pending charges have been announced thus far.
