Troopers respond to deadly 2-vehicle crash near Cheyenne in Roger Mills County
ROGER MILLS COUNTY, OK – The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly two-vehicle collision that occurred near US 283 and E 1040 Rd on Sunday, according to KFOR.
A person was driving north on US 283 when they began to fishtail and entered the southbound lanes, where they hit another vehicle.
Rescue crews pronounced the driver of the second vehicle and a passenger from the first vehicle dead at the scene. They transported the first driver to an area hospital with arm, leg, head, trunk internal, and trunk external injuries.
The driver and passenger from the first vehicle were wearing their seatbelts. The driver of the second vehicle was not.
Troopers believe the windy and slick road conditions may have been factors in the collision.
