Troopers investigate fatal single-vehicle crash in Delaware County

DELAWARE COUNTY, OK – According to KTUL, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly single-vehicle collision that occurred on US-412 ALT near E 550 Rd on Friday.

A 20-year-old man was driving a 2002 Chevy Tahoe around 2:16 p.m. when he strayed off the roadway, overcorrected, crossed the center line, and hit a ditch. The Tahoe overturned and came to rest on the driver’s side.

The driver was ejected from the Tahoe, and his 19-year-old male passenger was partially thrown from the vehicle.

First responders transported both men to an area hospital, where the driver died.

Neither man was wearing a seatbelt.
