Troopers investigate deadly wrong-way crash on I-35 near Guthrie

GUTHRIE, OK – The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly wrong-way collision that occurred on I-35 near Guthrie on Saturday, according to KFOR.

A 41-year-old woman was heading north in the southbound lanes of I-35 when she strayed off the road and drove between a concrete barrier at OK 33. The woman’s car then went airborne and landed on the highway before catching on fire.

Emergency crews extricated the driver from her vehicle. First responders pronounced her dead at the scene.
