Troopers investigate deadly Polaris Ranger crash on OK 56 near Wewoka

WEWOKA, OK – The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal Polaris Ranger crash that occurred on OK 56 near E 1360 Rd on Tuesday, according to KOCO.

A 32-year-old man was driving the Ranger north on the shoulder of OK 56 when he made a U-turn too fast and overturned around 10:20 a.m.

The driver was pinned for about 5 minutes before being pronounced dead at the scene by first responders. He was not wearing a seatbelt.

Authorities believe unsafe speed was the cause of the wreck.
